Citadel: Forged with Fire is one of the latest MMO games that seamlessly combine sandbox and RPG elements. What makes this game unique however is the fact that it has literally everything you want. The focus is on magic and spells, but you also have crafting, exploration, building and so on. Here you are a magic apprentice and you are exploring the large Ignus world presented here. It’s a stunning experience and one that only ends up getting better because it’s super rewarding and cool at the same time.

You create your own story

There is a story in the game, but it’s mostly a filler because you can create your own story here. You can interact with NPCs and other people and just pursue your own destiny here. You have an open approach which is rarely something you encounter in a game like this. Of course, you can be an infamous hunter of other players if you want as you steal their loot.
Or you can just accumulate resources and find ways that will help you build stuff and create your own amazing castle. The fact that this is a sandbox means you can do anything you want without being restricted from any side. It’s the type of thing that really matters and it will certainly make quite the difference as you start playing the game and enjoying it more and more all the time.

The game world is very large, 36 square kilometers of landmass is quite a lot to explore and it definitely has its fair share of unique challenges along the way. There’s a lot to unpack here. Since you get plains, forests, swamps, a tundra and even mountains. It’s that diversity that really makes Citadel: Forged with Fire unique, since you can explore all kinds of things and just enjoy all of these locations the way you really want. It’s a rather open approach that a lot of people will like just because it’s insanely different and unique at the same time. You do want to make it work and the payoff itself will be among some of the best that you can find on the market, you can rest assured of it.

Exploring the arcane arts

Citadel: Forged with Fire is all about magic, and your focus is on becoming a great magician. However, you can also focus on imbuing a variety of weapons with magic. That means you can have enchanted gauntlets, magic hammers and maces, swords and axes. All of these stand out and they are offering you a very good experience and stunning results every time due to that. It’s well worth it and the experience that comes from all of this is nothing short of extraordinary all the time.

Allying with other people

In Citadel: Forged with Fire you do have the option to connect with other people and have them as allies. This is actually a really good touch and the game benefits from that just because it’s very convenient and simple at the same time. You can share your resources with others to create huge castles. There are also legendary creatures in the game, you can team up and try to eliminate them as you see fit.

It’s all these things that really help push the boundaries and with Citadel: Forged with Fire you finally get to do that. The focus on team and group play in general really makes quite the difference and you will certainly find the results themselves to be among some of the best every time. You still have the option to battle opposing houses as you try to become more powerful and conquer more land.

Legendary beasts

You can fight them, but you can also tame and ride legendary beasts too. The idea here is that your tamed beasts get experience and they will become more and more powerful. You can even use those beasts in battle too, which we found to be very nifty and convenient at the same time. There’s a lot of diversity when it comes to the enemy types and these beasts are different too. You have dragons too, which is always exciting to have.

Crafting and building

The crafting experience in Citadel: Forged with Fire is pretty good. They do a very good job at not complicating it too much. But you can craft stuff, and you can also build large castles. The building process is actually a pleasure to use and the best part is that the game does have a destruction engine. So in case you are attacked you can visually assess the damage to your castle.
You can unlock building features and fortification materials as you level up, which makes for a very interesting and also rather unique gaming experience. To make things even better, you are not limited to any schematics. You are free to create whatever you want, however you want it.

Graphics and sounds

Citadel: Forged with Fire looks great and the best part is that you will have a lot of different encounters with enemies. The cool thing with this title is that visuals are rather good, and you will also find all kinds of exciting locations to explore and enjoy. The soundtrack is masterfully created too, you really get to feel yourself as a part of the experience which is always a very good sign in a game like this.

Conclusion

Citadel: Forged with Fire is a vast MMO, and that means it does have some bugs here and there. The visuals are not extraordinary, but they did a very good job with it and they are continuing to push the boundaries when it comes to the scale of the world. Citadel: Forged with Fire is definitely not a perfect game, but if you like spellcasting in MMOs, this is definitely going to grab your attention. A lot of people play it, you can connect with them or just forge your own path. The possibilities are limitless and there’s certainly a lot of fun to be had here!

Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
